DOCUMENTATION AND EXPLANATION

This video was edited by me, Harry Hanson. I was once part of a group of paranormal investigators called PPIT (pronounced “pit”), the Pennsylvania Paranormal Investigation Team. This little 8:36 compilation is comprised of the small amount of evidence we’ve obtained after over 20 investigations. It is not easy to catch a ghost on tape, and maybe it’s even still harder than we think, but from what we can tell we have captured evidence. Some of it is questionable, but some of it is pure proof to those of us who were working during the filming and photography.

To save people the effort of bashing our video on YouTube, I will now elaborate each section of the video much more clearly than the clip itself attempts to.

Part 1: Sunnyside Cemetery (Tunkhannock, PA)

My girlfriend at the time, Courtney, leaned up against a nearby gravestone and became startled. The heat of the stone felt very similar to the temperature of a human body. We each touched the surrounding stones to compare temperatures and none of them were remotely warm, let alone 80-90 degrees. Although it was a late spring night, there was no reason that stone should have held the heat from the sun longer than the surrounding ones, which were the same size and the same color.

I photographed her touching the stone and moved on. About five minutes into investigating a different section, Cale claimed to see someone peaking at him over the grave that we had just been curious about. I turned around and took a snapshot of it. Sure enough, the orb appeared. (Don’t argue with me about orbs yet, I’ll get to that at the end of this.)

REINVESTIGATION: NONE

We didn’t find the evidence convincing enough to attempt to debunk. We only found it interesting that the orb appeared in a suspicious location directly after someone claimed to have seen something.

Part 2: West Mountain Tuberculosis Sanitarium (West Mountain, PA)

This place was quite the drive for us to get to. After the investigation, we didn’t think we had come across anything and the whole investigation only seemed to be a creepy experience. The basement was pretty cool. However, about a month after viewing the photos for the first time, I looked through them again and caught something strange in a window. I upped the brightness on all of the photos from that night, and interestingly enough the only photos that seemed suspicious were taken consecutively.

Walking along the side of the building, there were 7 windows visible to me (only 6 shown in the first picture). I snapped a photo and walked farther down the path. Took another, walked farther, took another, etc. The first photo shows nothing. The window we’re focusing on is actually the 4th, but appears to be the 3rd in the first photo because the 1st window is out of caption to the left.

The second photo clearly reveals a figure (possibly headless) standing in the same window and peering out, as if it heard me outside and decided to have a look. The figure appears to be a male with broad shoulders in a white coat. Keep in mind that this was taken at a tuberculosis sanitarium where doctors were constantly exposed to the illness.

In the third photo, an orb appears in the same exact window, but the figure is gone.

A fourth photo was taken, but not included in the video. In this picture, the orb was floating above the same window. In the fifth, it was completely gone.

REINVESTIGATION: Of course, we had to go back to this place to see for ourselves if what we captured was illusion or something more. We did it at the same time of night, took the same photographs at the same angles and NOTHING appeared. There is no glass in the windows, so the possibility of the “man” being a reflection was ruled out. We then walked through the shrubbery toward the window to get an inside view. There is a hole in the floor, leading to the basement, in the EXACT spot the figure appeared to be standing.

Part 3: Wilkes-Barre Municipal Cemetery (Wilkes-Barre, PA)

There is a lot to explain about this part. The video clip was recorded in the rear corner of the “old” section of the cemetery next to the barred fence that divides it from the “new” section. There is a grave in that corner, secluded from the rest, in the shape of a cross. Behind the grave, there is a chain link fence with trees behind it. Past the trees, there is a 45 ft. vertical drop off.

In the beginning of this clip, Cale is attempting to slip through a hole in the chain link fence to see what is at the bottom of the cliff. You hear me say, “If you fall, we run.” Jokingly, of course. The camera goes haywire for a second and all you can see is Cale’s back.

The camera views up into the trees at 2:22. Here you can also see a strange light that we haven’t been able to explain. The camera begins to peer back down (now being held at about eye-level) and at 2:25 the head and shoulders of what resembles a boy appear. You can see a hairline, two eyes, a nose, one ear, and the wrinkles of its clothing. It also appears to be holding a hang up. If you LISTEN closely, at the exact moment it appears, you can hear a very sharp loud whisper. It is only one syllable, but seems to indicate “hey” or “hi.” The camera then peers down to the ground.

In the slowed-down clip directly after, the face appears and you hear Cale say “okay.” Directly afterwards you will hear the whisper more clearly.

Part 4: Wilkes-Barre Municipal Cemetery (Wilkes-Barre, PA)

Same spot, same night. Now you can see the cross-grave. The writing on it is in an unfamiliar language. Cale claims it’s Jewish in the video, but the grave would not be a cross in that case.

You hear our team leader, Jim, whistle to us as he is approaching. In fear that it may have been a distress call or someone else entirely, Cale whistles back. The next whistle is what gets us. At the same time as Jim’s second whistle, something else seemed to have screeched from a different direction. Only Cale and Shari heard it at the time.

The video states that it is “underneath the second whistle.” That was my mistake when I was editing. It is in fact underneath Jim’s second whistle, but it is the third whistle in all.

REINVESTIGATION: This was a must.

1.) Not included in this video is our full investigation of the Wilkes-Barre Municipal Cemetery, in which we come across this grave again. We were sporting EMF detectors this time. They didn’t even chirp until our friend Shlark (funny name, I know) held his about 2 feet above this grave. It went off the charts and we weren’t surprised. We radioed to Wilson and Jim to try it with theirs, and after they found us, theirs did it as well.

2.) Not documented. I personally went back with a group of friends who were not a part of the team to show them just how peculiar the cross-grave was. There were 3 guys (including me) and 3 girls present. After standing near the grave and waiting for some kind of communication, we all heard something climbing rampantly up the cliff in the background. It could have been a squirrel, it could have been a person, we don’t know. But we ran and scattered. While running, two of the girls screamed (one to my left and one to my right) after looking back and began running faster. I looked back out of curiosity and saw a white shapeless figure standing about three feet tall next to the grave. We regrouped minutes later at the entrance of the graveyard. Every single person stated that they saw the same exact thing. The two guys and I went back to investigate more about a half hour later, but found nothing.

3.) One last try (also undocumented). I brought my girlfriend there with a few friends to show them just how crazy this grave was turning out to be. The stone was replaced by a metal cross, on which the writing was in English. The person buried there was a five year-old boy! Nothing out of the ordinary happened.

The only conclusion I have come to is that the boy was uneasy because he was displeased by his gravestone. Perhaps the carvings were in a language he never spoke. I haven’t been there since, but he appeared to be at rest that night.

Part 4: Mary’s Pioneer Cemetery (Tunkhannock, PA)

The video explains this about as much as anyone can. This was taken during the same night as the first part at Sunnyside Cemetery. In fact, it’s directly across the street. We apologize for the blurry visual. The camera was in Super Nightshot + mode, so it was emitting very high levels of infrared, illuminating the environment with invisible light that was almost blinding bright for the camera lens. It was as "focused" as we could have made it. The camera also records everything at a much lower frame rate while it is in this mode.

The figure was only visible through the camera and was standing to the right of the tree. You can see it before we even notice it in the video at 4:40. The objects at 4:44 are grave stones, notice the slightly tanner color. The figure you’re supposed to be looking at is pure white and becomes perfectly noticeable at 4:52. You hear me say “Whoa” when I realize that the camera is picking up an object that seemingly isn’t even there.

When I open up the LCD side panel for Cale to look at it, I pan away from the figure for a split second. When I pan back, it disappears. The light rotating around the tree is a flashlight that Cale was holding. And the fog that appears is Cale’s cigarette smoke.

Cale was taking pictures while I was filming. Orbs appeared ONLY in the spot that the ghost seemed to show up in the video.

A viewer noted that at 7:20 you can make a face out in the smoke on the bottom right hand corner of the picture. This is probably just coincidental, but still a nice find.

DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO THE CIRCLED FIGURE IN THE BACKGROUND OF THE LAST PICTURE. IT IS MORE CLEAR ON OUR DVD, BUT STILL VERY QUESTIONABLE.

REINVESTIGATION: We have gone over this area again TWICE using the same camera techniques and all of the same equipment. We even made Cale stand in the same position and smoke a cigarette. We did everything exactly the same way at the same time of night and came up with nothing. Therefore, this clip is simply unexplainable to us. And that is why we like it so much.

Note:

We know that orbs are highly overused when it comes to proving the existence of the paranormal. We’ve had orbs show up in hundreds of our photographs during investigations that we have simply ruled out as being dust, lens flares, reflections, etc.

The only reason we found the orbs in this video to be slightly suspicious is due to the fact that they appeared moments before or after a seemingly peculiar event occurred.

Cale thought he saw someone looking at him over a grave, so I took a picture and an orb appeared in it.

A ghost appeared in a window, and then an orb appeared in the same window.

A ghost appeared next to a tree, and then a few orbs appeared next to the same tree.

Get what I’m saying?

How does the brain work? I want an explanation for everything from intuitions, ideas, realizations and the resulting physical commands I decide to execute based on all three. I know I can tell when something's going to happen, but whatever it is will wait to manifest until I forget to expect anything. I can imagine something taking place seconds or hours before it does, but by the time it does, my imagination's somewhere else. It's intuition. It generates an idea for a split second, becomes neglected instantly in disbelief, and immediately falls to extinction. Then, BAM. "Holy shit, I was just thinking that. I KNEW that was going to happen." Anything from a simple phone call to a nearly fatal car accident. It teases with warning, but begs for rejection. It happens to everyone and coincidence is a simple excuse to deny explanation.

Addiction is a suspect when it comes to investigating the cause of such brief psychological forecasts. Crave something enough and you will experience it within seconds. Whether it is rational or not to believe that any living being is capable of creating an alternate reality, it is within every single creature's natural abilities to materialize a simple, quick mental notive in order to take an intensely desired physical action. Build and they will come. Telekinesis and telepathy are to blame for this possiblity. The body and brain are considered to be a wired electrical network; strictly internal. But take any two electronic devices and place them next to eachother and you will create interference, whether it is noticable or not. Magnetism generates gravity, which holds us within its resulting atmosphere. An electrical impulse traveling over a given neuron carries a charge, opening it to the attraction of other electrical networks. Those networks are not accessible by one another, traditionally, but interference is anything but explainable. It is said to allow paranormal anomallies to occur, but will always lack solid definition. If it's inexplainable, who is to say that I can't have a brief mental intuition and subconsciouly suggest it to someone else via interference? The only logical explanation is that neurons can be accessed wirelessly, intentionally or accidentally, over any distance by any amount of networks. There is no such thing as mental - the world and everything in it is strictly physical and real. What rests outside of it is beyond our reality and understandablity.

My point is: The next time you have an idea, try to think of where you got it. Trace your thoughts backwards until you can figure out what previous thought generated it. Your idea could be the incoming transmission from someone else's imagination. And depending on how you react upon it, that idea that seemed to come out of no where could be your ultimate fate. Be careful what you wish for as well, for what you crave could cause a literal result.
